Lots of calls, people needing info on polling place. One person calls to debate the "need" for voter id law. It was pointed out to her that most important there is no voter id law, so the discussion right now is academic.
The individuals who post to this blog are interested in elections that are conducted fairly, lawfully and without intimidation or other efforts to suppress all Mississippi citizens' right to cast their votes -- whether they reside in the 601, 662 or 228 area codes. We believe that by providing live, from the field, reports during election day, more Mississippians will be enlightened about the voting process as it is actually implemented in this state.
